Re-design of the front covers of this set of history books edited by Thomas Thorner with Thor Frohn-Nielsen 

This set of two books recount the experiences of those who first explored, documented and founded the nation of Canada in their own words. A Few Acres of Snow covers the period of Canadian history pre-confederation while A Country Nourished on Self-Doubt covers the period post-confederation. The different writing implements denote the two different eras in Canadian history.
